Ein Bericht von Malte, Zoe, Emily (Q1) auf Englisch:

On Monday, 15th January we had an English workshop about „creative writing“ with British author Clare Wigfall. To give us an idea of how she comes up with ideas for her stories, she presented to us one of her short stories, „Mrs Eveleigh Nash“ and explained that she often uses photographs as a starting point for her writing.

But for us, Clare had something else in mind… instead of a photograph she gave out buttons of all shapes and sizes and asked some guiding questions so we could develop our very own fictional character – the owner of the piece of clothing that the button had belonged to. In small groups we talked about our creations and then went on drafting our very first scene and ultimately, in a last step, we put everything together into our own short story. It was a great experience!
