The homepAGe recorded their first ever podcast (what is a podcast? ) with Clare Wigfall: HERE IT IS
Clare Wigfall held a creative writing workshop at our school on the 7th June. She was born in London and now she lives with her husband in Berlin. Clare is a professional author/writer and she mostly writes short-stories for childrens‘ books. Since she was little, she wanted to be an author, because she always loved to write and read. In the workshop she gave the students some tips and they started to write. We asked her for these tips, you should remember them, if you want to start writing:
– you should read a lot
– don’t be afraid of starting to write, just do it
– it’s hard and not perfect at the beginning, go on
– have fun
– let your imagination out
Her inspirations were music, history and many different places. At the end we asked her: „If you went to a lonely island and you got only one book, which would it be?“ She answered that it would probably be a collection of short-stories, something that keeps her thinking.
If you are courageous enough, please send Mr Voigt your texts which he will forward to Clare for some feedback.
Thanks to the Verein der Eltern for supporting this event.
