I am Laureen, I am in 11th grade and I am a foreign exchange student from Germany. I got placed in Pascagoula, Mississippi with the Jones family (my host family).

I chose the German agency Xplore which is working with PanAtlantic. On August 3rd, 2022 I went to NewYorkCity and spent 3 days there with my agency for an Orientation. On August 6th, 2022 I had a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina, and then to Mobile, Alabama, where my host family picked me up.

Since I have been here I have met a lot of new people, friends and I learned about American life, tradition and culture. Football Games every Friday, going out on the Gulf of Mexico by boat, Homecoming, watching volleyball games, sleepovers and having the American school as in the movies.

That has been my life here and I am ready for the new soccer season with the school.

I hope I can inspire you to do an exchange year and live an American Dream life.
